Where is it?
What is it?
A charming spa hotel with a warm, open heart facilitating a holiday of relaxation.
Who should go?
Eremito is perfect for those seeking solitude in a rural setting with the space to relax, recuperate and escape the hectic schedules of modern day life.
What do we love?
It’s not every day that you get to sleep in a converted 14th-century monastery which is rather peculiar yet endearing and romantic. The combination of a rural, secluded setting with healthy cuisine, spa treatments and yoga classes is exactly what we want in a mindful getaway.
Why is it so special?
Guests are encouraged to focus on their wellbeing, harmony and inner peace. A luxury of days gone, the almost forgotten luxury of being able to relax without being disturbed by technology, in a true oasis of calm and tranquillity where your gaze can wonder afar. We wholeheartedly appreciate the minimalist, back-to-basics vibe of Eremito, as it’s affectionally known, and the fact that you’ll be faced with a digital detox whether you like it or not (no telephone or television), which means no Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Instead, focus on you and, well, you.
What is there to do?
Yoga classes, meditation, a fasting and colon detox and Gregorian chanting or hiking, reading, walking, icon painting and horseback riding. Do as much or as little as you wish!
Who shouldn’t go?
For one, Eremito serves hearty and healthy cuisine but it’s vegetarian and vegan, so if you’re looking for gourmet burgers, lamb or chicken, this isn’t the place for you. Secondly, this is a real rural retreat and not a hotel with extensive facilities, you’ll truly feel refreshed and rejuvenated after a stay here!
