The Lodge is the gateway to 100 acres of safe walking on bio diverse land of beautiful and mountainous terrain and tropical dry forest. Discover one of the world’s most beautiful lakes and take in the rich culture of the Mayan highlands with a boat trip around the lake, horseback riding through coffee and maize fields and visit the local villages. For the keen adventurer, challenge yourself to try zip-lining, hike San Pedro volcano and enjoy scuba diving, paragliding and kayaking.

After the days tours and adventures enjoy a dip in the hot river rock spa pool and be pampered with a relaxing body treatment offered at the Hummingbird spa. Relax at the lava bar or lakeside pavilion and watch the surreal sunset turn into a star studded night. Relax in the chic bar during sundown and dine in the award-winning Zotz restaurant with a romantic roaring fireplace and antique candelabras for a fine dining experience. A rooftop pavilion provides yet another avenue of escape with day beds and hammocks surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Inspired by nature and created from volcanic stone, adobe and palm, the 7 spacious lakeside suites are individually appointed with plush hand hewn king beds, fine linens and vibrant bed runners and pillows woven on traditional Mayan looms. All suites feature wooden floors, indigenous antiques, a minibar, a bathroom with bathrobes, and a private balcony or terrace with fantastic views.

Some have separate sitting areas, while a chic duplex villa adds extra bedrooms and living space. Room service is also provided.


Various packages are available including an all inclusive package, a 2 night adventure package, spa packages, yoga retreats, a 3 night luxury getaway package and a 7 night Mayan experience.

Rates start at US $195 per room, per night.

Zotz is a full service international lakefront restaurant which serves fine Eco-Cuisine with distinctive flavor and quality from natural foods; entirely vegan and vegetarian.

An award winning culinary team constructs rich, delicious and flavorful meat-free cuisine with exotic pizzazz. Fresh organic vegetables, greens, herbs and eggs are harvested daily from the lodge gardens or are procured from local farmers.

Unlimited filtered drinking water provided in rooms and you must try the organic coffee grown in the lodge’s own nature reserve.

Entry into this Mayan world begins by boat.

Guatemala is located within Central America. It is bordered on the north and west by Mexico, on the southeast by El Salvador and Honduras, on the northeast by Belize and the Caribbean Sea, and on the south by the Pacific Ocean.

Laguna Lodge is 147km west of Guatemala City, approximately two and a half hours away by the pan american highway (CA1). Guatemala City is serviced daily by American Airlines, Delta, United, Continental, Taca, US Airways, Air Canada, China Airlines, British Airways, KLM, Avianca, Spirit or their partners. Arrival airport code is (GUA) Guatemala City Aurora Airport.

When to go
The highlands reach temperatures of 30° Celsius. The summer wet months are from May to October. Winter has similar temperatures and is dry season with nights reaching temperatures of around 14°C. The climate is temperate and healthful and of an even spring like warmth with warm days and cool nights.
